    IgnorePrivateSequences Property
    In This Topic
    If set, private sequence items are skipped.
    Syntax
    'Declaration

    Public Property IgnorePrivateSequences As Boolean
    'Usage

    Dim instance As ReadBehaviours
    Dim value As Boolean

    instance.IgnorePrivateSequences = value

    value = instance.IgnorePrivateSequences
    public bool IgnorePrivateSequences {get; set;}
    public:
    property bool IgnorePrivateSequences {
       bool get();
       void set (    bool value);
    }
    Remarks

    The default value of this property is derived from the IgnorePrivateSequences value of the internal registry, which in turn has a default value of 0, causing this property to be false.

    Badly formed data in private sequences is unfortunately very common, and setting this property can allow some such data (if it has an explicit length) to be ignored, allowing the remainder of a dataset to be read.
