Parameters

Name

The name of the registry key.

Value

The value to set.

This method creates or replaces string values in the internal virtual registry. The internal look up table can be updated by calling this method to provide a pair of 'Name' and 'Value' e.g. 'UIDRoot' - '1.2.826.3.4.5.6'

As DicomGlobal does not look in to registry any more (as did in COM version) for key values, instead, an internal look up table is used to provide all those options used by DicomObjects, like logging, Importing/Exporting external files, Compression/Decompression, Supported SOP Class, Supported Transfer Syntax.
