    TolerateBadOffsets Property
    In This Topic
    Ignore bad "offset" data when reading a DICOMDIR
    Syntax
    'Declaration

    Public Property TolerateBadOffsets As Boolean
    'Usage

    Dim instance As ReadBehaviours
    Dim value As Boolean

    instance.TolerateBadOffsets = value

    value = instance.TolerateBadOffsets
    public bool TolerateBadOffsets {get; set;}
    public:
    property bool TolerateBadOffsets {
       bool get();
       void set (    bool value);
    }
    Remarks

    The default value of this property is derived from the TolerateBadOffsets value of the internal registry, which in turn has a default value of 0, causing this property to be false.

    Setting this to true may enable some otherwise unreadable DICOMDIR files to the read, but as the bizarre mechanism used to organise DICOMDIR files is based on using offsets, the resulting DicomDataSet may not be a complete representation of the file.

    Target Platforms: Windows 7, Windows Vista SP1 or later, Windows XP SP3, Windows Server 2008 (Server Core not supported), Windows Server 2008 R2 (Server Core supported with SP1 or later), Windows Server 2003 SP2
